Christmas Eve 2008

I really need to catch up!! I am sorry friends & family but I am going to get back on track. Between the busy holidays, a much needed vacation, Dad's surgery & a busy work schedule I have not posted in 6 weeks!! I have so many great pictures & memories to share with you all too! SO get ready for a lot of postings...here they come!

I will start with Christmas Eve. We went to service at Williams Trace Baptist Church- what a beautiful service!! It had a little bit of everything. When we arrived there were live animals for the children to see & pet. The girls chose to "just see". Audrey made sure she did not take her eyes off the camel in case it made any sudden moves. It was pretty neat:

Audrey got to play in the nursery with her good friend Reagan- she loved that. Meagan got to go with Dad & Mom to the big church- she felt so grown up! Well, at least for the first half. She got a little wiggly towards the end. The service itself had a baby dedication, 3 baptisms, a full orchestra made up of church members, tons of beautiful music, a family reading of the nativity, a beautiful message & finally a lighting of GLOW STICKS!! Very modern, safe & completely beautiful! We very much enjoyed the spirit of it all!!

Next it was off to dinner at our favorite steak house- Salt Grass! YUMMY!! We had dinner with mom (dad was at work-darn!) , Babs, Frank & the girls. With our tummies full we headed home to set out cookies & make sure the reindeer were taken care of. The girls sprinkled the reindeer food under our "stick" of a tree. Then, the cool part, they sprinkled glitter over the grass so Santa could see where our home was- pretty neat idea! Here are the girls preparing:

Finally here are some pics of our Christmas lights (a little belated, and yes they are down!):

Next year I promise to try to stay on top of this!!! Stay tuned for Christmas day.....
